Quality Inn & Suites Maggie Valley - Cherokee Area

The price is relatively cheap and there are some nice restaurants nearby

The facilities and interior of the room weren’t the best, and we found a dead bug in a towel. Just didn’t feel like a comfortable stay

Staff was outstandingly helpful and friendy with numerous requests - starting with location of our room to finding suitable picnic grounds with grill stations. Breakfast was superior to other motels I have visited so far, including omlettes, good yoghurt and good orange juice. Coffee was also freshly brewed and good beans. Rooms not facing the main artery road are very quiet (when dialing down the fridge and AC), noise insulation against neighbouring rooms also good. Curtains allowed sufficient darkening of the room against sunlight to allow for good sleep. Swimming pool and hot bath tub for common use are a plus after a hiking day.

While all items in the rooms were functional and available for usage, the aesthatics lacked on some items not properly maintainted or repaired, e.g. wholes for holding the shower curtain rod not properly filled around the rod.

There was no view. But I failed to request one.

Breakfast was good.

It was all good.

Very clean and comfortable plus quiet. Staff responds immediately to anything you need.

Housekeeping does not tend the rooms daily. They exchange towels if you want.

Crystal was sooo nice when I arrived early! She checked me in on the computer then recommended 2 local restaurants for me to grab a late lunch. THEN she was told my room was ready so she went ahead and gave me my keys. She was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the lady was very nice and polite and kept it stocked and clean. Everyone was very nice, polite and helpful. I have family in the area and I got a card before I left so I can come back! Thank you!

Elevator didn’t work, pool & hot tub was dirty
