Holiday Inn Express Newport Beach by IHG

I went on a recent trip to this hotel with some family. The location is in the heart of it all. The hotel was clean, nicer than I expected and the rooms had queen size beds instead of double beds. So it was more comfy. The price was reasonable compared to other similar hotels. The room came with a free breakfast in the morning. I do have to say that the eggs were delicious and the sausages were really good. They had bagels too and lots of different items to choose from and also some gluten free options. Everywhere we went the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. I’d like to tell a quick story about the front desk clerk Laura who helped us on Monday evening She was very helpful and friendly. Later that evening we went to dinner. When we got back one of the family members had lost their gold bracelet that had some diamonds on it. It was a thin gold bracelet with small diamonds but was a very special meaningful item. We figured maybe it had fallen off her wrist, we searched the room and the car. We called the restaurant hoping if someone found it there they would let us know. Then we told Laura the front desk lady about the missing bracelet and that we thought maybe this bracelet had fallen off and she was very helpful. She had us give her our room number and phone number so if anything was found she would let us know. We went out to the parking lot retracing our steps and searching. Later when we walked into the hotel Laura came running up to us. She was very happy to tell us a gentleman staying in one of the nearby rooms had found it in the hallway and brought the bracelet to the front desk. I’m grateful to this kind person who brought it to the front desk. I’m also grateful for Laura and her honest and kind work to get the bracelet back to us. She came over and was so excited that it had been found and that she could return it to us. We were very fortunate to stay at a hotel that has such caring and helpful staff. We enjoyed the rest of our stay and when in Newport Beach in the future we will definitely be staying at this hotel. Thank you again Laura.!! The hotel is very fortunate to have you as one of its employees.

Front desk out of water for sale and no water in room. Had to pay to park car with fees on top of room. Doesn't make sense.
