Stayed for one night as a stopover on way down from Tunnel to Loire. Location not great for this particular journey as it involved a detour. Check in was smooth if not terribly friendly. Room was first class very clean and comfortable. Decided to eat at the hotel, but it was very disappointing. Service very slow, seemed to have one waitress and one kitchen staff for all guests including room service. Meal was ok nothing special.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the hotel is very quiet. Restaurant serves excellent food.

Great for what we needed - a hassle-free stop off on the way to southern France. The hotel felt very new - the room was spotless, comfortable and had a decent coffee making machine. It's a Best Western and the whole place felt a bit 'corporate'/chain-like. But it was good value for what we paid. We were very glad the restaurant was still open when we arrived, much later than planned at 9pm, as the immediate area didn't look promising for restaurants. The food was variable: my quail starter was great, my partner ordered smoked salmon and got - literally - a plate full of smoked salmon. But our duck mains were very tough. The deserts coming out looked really good - we didn't try them as we were too tired and it was late. The wine was very good value for the quality. Everyone else in the dining room was a British holiday maker like us. So, great value for an overnight stay - there are probably better food options in town if you have the time to check them out.

Just right for an overnight stay en route from Calais to the south with a 14-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old golden retriever. The friendly, prompt, no fuss reception and departure was particularly appreciated for this stopover. The hotel looks like it's been remodelled and rebranded from the Accor group but is fresh, modern and comfortable enough without any pretence at luxury. Parking is free and easy which is not always the case in French city hotels and the hotel is well situated by a small river which was appreciated by the large dog. It's a pleasant 15 minute walk into the town centre which is well worth a visit if only to appreciate its careful reconstruction in the late 40s and 50s

Just one night en-route back home. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Basic but spacious room. Excellent restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Would definitely recommend this highly.

Very pleasant hotel with friendly staff. Slight problem with air con but reception staff addressed our comments very responsively.

The hotel is not right in the centre of town, but really close by - you can reach the city centre in 10 min walk. Room is very confortable and spacious (fit a cot bed and still had plenty of space to circulate). Great shower!
