ABC Swiss Quality Hotel

ABC Swiss Quality Hotel boasts an excellent location right between Chur's historic old town and the main railway station, the departure point of the legendary Bernina Express. If you're planning to travel on this iconic train, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better-positioned hotel in Chur. A great practical bonus is the free private car park at the rear of the hotel. The modern interiors create a pleasantly intimate atmosphere. We spent two nights in Suite Menghini – a spacious apartment, simply yet tastefully furnished, comfortable and welcoming, with views over Chur and the mountains rising above the old town. The entire stay was exceptionally enjoyable from the very first moment: from a smooth check-in at reception to truly outstanding breakfasts. What we appreciated most about this hotel is its staff – remarkably friendly and attentive, both at the front desk and during breakfast service. The breakfast team was impressively quick and attentive, with a wonderful sense of humour that made every morning meal a genuine pleasure. And speaking of breakfast: the selection on offer rivals that of many 5-star hotels. Excellent Swiss cheeses, cured meats, croissants on a par with the finest French and Italian ones – you simply didn't know where to start. One more lovely touch awaited us in our room on arrival: a personal card signed by all hotel staff, complete with their photo and a warm wish for a pleasant stay. A small gesture that leaves a lasting impression and sets this hotel apart from the rest.

The only minor inconvenience was the room temperature control – we couldn't figure out how to adjust it properly, which is something I've noticed in quite a few hotels lately. The suite was rather warm, so we ended up keeping the windows open around the clock.

Excelente localização, a 10 passos da estação de trem, limpo e confortável, com staff muito educado e atencioso. Recomendo!
