clean, comfortable and easy, woken by wonderful bird song in the trees outside

Reception / breakfast area was lovely. Staff were absolutely amazing. Man checking us in was super lovely as well as being efficient and informative. Lady on reception in morning was really helpful and also whizzing round helping with breakfast. Breakfast was good. Beds were super comfortable and shower was great.

We had a family room which was located in the eves of the hotel; based up near the staff areas. Wife and child described it as; a bit creepy! The decor was a little tired, no extractor in bathroom so bit of mould observed and looked like bleach had been spilled on the carpet in little patches. Skylight windows had heaps of cobwebs in the mechanism - which for a spider phobe would be concerning.

Some areas needed attention broken items in rooms and buildings looked scruffy

The staff. The hotel was welcoming whereas others in the area were not. There was a problem with ID and the hotel went out of their way to solve our problem - something that 5 other hotels in the area didn't. Nothing was too much trouble and our check in was near midnight! Thank you to the person on reception who took the booking that night. Life saver.

The location of the hotel is perfect surrounded by trees and wildlife which helped to hide the sound traffic, being able to pack right outside the room was great and the staff where very welcoming and very professional,

There's only two things that I didn't like that was the pillows were way to soft and I had to use all 4 to get comfortable ,the lighting in the room could be better by having a central light in the ceiling and a better design of bedside lights
