White Point Beach Resort

We had supper, a buffet, food was good. Location is amazing!! Amenities are phenomenal. Room was good, nice comfy bed. Deck with lake view, parking outside your door. Tub was a little dirty but manager had it cleaned right away for us.

We were attending a family wedding and had originally only booked one night. Apx. 2 weeks before wedding we decided to book an extra night. There was no way we were told we could stay in same room both nights. Arriving the day before the wedding we had to pack up our belongings and wait for a new room. We asked for earlier check in due to fact wedding was at 4 and check in was 4 we were assured it would happen but couldn't guarantee anything. Thank goodness we had kind family members who let us use their rooms to get ready as our room was not ready until 3 pm. We witnessed many others arriving and check in and have a room...some as early as 130. We felt that no effort was made to make an early check in happen. There was three of us to shower and get ready and having less then one hour was not going to work. The front desk staff who I would describe as " dismissive" seemed to lack much customer service sense as they could have at least tried to look sympathetic as they said they had asked a dozen times for our room to be cleaned so apparently they have no communication with staff who clean the rooms

I tried their breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The buffet didn't have too many choices but the food (both buffet and à la carte) was tasty and the services were excellent. There were not as many kids activities as I expected but the staff was great and made the most out of each activity.

There were not many kids activities and some activities shown in the schedule didn't happen without notice. Many dishes in the dinner buffet was spicy so there were not many choices for kids who don't like spicy food.

Overall it’s a great location. Drinks were good food was good room was good. There was a lady bartender that at the main bar and worked the night before the wedding she was incredible.

Some of Your staff can be very unreasonable and not willing to help. I had asked for an early check in months in advance and had checked again a few days before arrival. Upon arrival I was told that they may or may not be able to accommodate my request but had no idea whether or not they’d be able to and that worst case it will be ready by four.( the wedding I was attending started at 4) This should definitly be communicated in advance as I had to drive an hour to a friends grandparents place for me and my wife to get ready for the wedding. Your front counter staff did not come off as if they even cared or understood my situation. A simple apology would have been the least they could do. During the evening before the wedding your manager yelled at the bride when he thought it was time to shut down for the night. It was actually disgusting. I’ve honestly seen better crowd management at a dive bar in downtown Dartmouth. It’s not the brides job to control the party. You should have the wedding party appoint a guest that can work with management for these situations.

Restaurant meal was good but overpriced. The suggested tips of 20-28% was also too much.

I thought we were getting a seaside cottage not a Glome. The heat/cooling system was difficult to regulate-either too hot or too cold b/c the Glomes are like a greenhouse and retain heat-no windows.
