The breakfast was excellent, varied and plentiful .

The room. Pillows had stains on them ! ( see photos) “Garden view” was view of car park . Net curtain was broken . Bathroom is so old, bath From original build (c. 1980’s) had rust marks, shower was weak, noisy and shower head caked in limescale .

We stayed there 25 years ago and it was amazing we have been there over the weekend and found the room (451) to be of poor standard. It was completely outdated were they had tried to decorate it they only put one coat so the walls were shaded. The bathroom bath plug was full of someone else hair the toilet didn’t flush properly the carpet had stains on it generally grubby the room cleaner when remaking the bed just threw the duvet over without making the bottom sheet very disappointed considering how much we paid and it being listed as 4 star
