No breakfast and the coffee was not worth it

Good location and the inn has great bones and possibilities.

It is very rundown. So sad. Definitely needs a little TLC

What we liked was mainly the location. The hotel is convenient for visiting Solvang, and it was easy to get around town from there. The beds were acceptable for one night, even though they were not very comfortable. The air conditioner was at least placed in a good position and did not blow directly onto the beds. The refrigerator was useful and better than a tiny mini-fridge, with both a small freezer section and a refrigerator section.

The location was convenient, and it was easy to get around town from the hotel, but the room itself was disappointing. Before arrival, we asked for a quiet room. Unfortunately, the room we got was very close to the road. The door was facing the street, and we could hear cars passing by. So it did not feel like a quiet room at all. The hotel feels old and worn out. Maybe it had a higher rating many years ago, but now it definitely needs renovation. The beds were okay enough to sleep on, but I would not call them comfortable. The air conditioner was an old window-style unit. It was noisy, and it did not seem to work properly. It would turn off, then try to turn on a few times, and at some point we had to get up and press the power button again. Changing the temperature did not seem to make much difference. The only good thing was that it was not blowing directly on the beds. There was a sliding glass door facing the pool area, but there was no screen door, so we did not want to keep it open. We were worried that insects or mosquitoes could get inside. Because of that, we had to keep the door closed and use the noisy air conditioner. Sleeping at night was not very comfortable. The bathroom was also very small. The bathtub was tiny, and I cannot imagine using it comfortably as a real bathtub. The toilet was also very small and round, not elongated. It felt like it was made for a child, not for an adult. The bathroom had many visible signs of age, with scratches, marks, and worn-out corners. The towels were white, but they looked very old and heavily used. The refrigerator was not as large as I expected from some reviews. It was not a tiny mini-fridge, but I would not call it large either. It was more like a medium hotel refrigerator, with a small freezer section inside.
