Britannia Hotel Wigan

Loved the location , great to access M6. Staff were very welcoming! Rooms were great , comfortable and clean.

Friendly receptionist. Spacious newly carpeted room. Everywhere clean. Check-in check out easy. Free parking.

Many of the fire doors were noisy when closing and some of the doors to the rooms too, or perhaps there was someone who was slamming them shut.

Short overnight stay , too early for the breakfast but the room good and bed was excellent

Water pressure poor for a shower, bath recommended instead

Good location, parking and a decent breakfast. Room was largely as expected in terms of facilities.

Shower was terribly weak. Staff were largely unwelcoming unhelpful and apathetic, going only through the process motions of checking in etc. No daily housekeeping.

Room was fine, spring on mattress broken and poking out of the side. Luckily I noticed it before my partner or I tore our clothing and thank goodness neither of us had an injury......

Everything was really good; the bed was very comfy

The Wi-Fi signal in the room was dropping in and out, but fine if you go near the reception.

Location ok

Bathroom not very clean . Grout , tiles , round taps etc. Sign above cold tap saying not drinking water and reception staff tried to charge me for some bottled water , saying the tap water was ok. The sign clearly stated that it wasn’t ok for drinking! The pillows were hard and they hadn’t any softer ones. The glass tables in reception area and the reception desk were filthy. They had obviously been wiped with a cloth that was very dirty.
