Majestic Hotel

Currently staying here and it's a joke of a hotel. No hot water for a shower in the morning then don't server breakfast til 8am if you want it earlier you can have cornflakes and mucky brown bread. Rooms not refreshed everyday. Dinner menu is just frozen crap put on a plate nothing fresh about it. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless they were super desperate

From the moment I stepped into my room at the Majestic Hotel, I felt wrapped in a kind of quiet magic. I was lucky enough to stay in a room with a balcony, and it was my first time ever having one on a solo trip—such a special touch. I would step outside and be greeted by the most breathtaking view: the North Atlantic Ocean, a serene lake, rolling green hills, and sweet little houses nestled along the slopes, reminding me of something out of Norway. The floor-to-ceiling windows framed it all like a living painting. The room itself was stunning—spacious, elegant, and filled with little comforts. The bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in, like being cocooned in a soft cloud. I spent mornings curled up in the cosy chairs by the window, working, and taking in the view. There was plenty of storage, beautiful decor, and just a sense of calm and refinement that made me feel truly at home. The staff were absolutely lovely—from the kind and attentive receptionists, to the friendly and helpful breakfast and bar teams. The cooked breakfast each morning was delicious, and I loved that it was paired with a beautiful buffet spread. Everyone made me feel so welcome. One of my favourite moments each day was coming back from a walk and sinking into one of the plush lounge chairs in the elegant royal blue lounge with its electric fireplace. They offered infused water (sometimes cucumber, sometimes mint and lemon)—a small but deeply thoughtful detail that made me feel cared for. The location is incredibly convenient—there’s an Aldi within walking distance for easy dinners and healthy snacks, the beach is just a stroll away along the promenade, and there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel for exploring further afield (like the beautiful Doneraile Trail). The coach from Dublin Airport stops directly opposite the hotel when you arrive, and the return stop is just a short walk away. It couldn’t be easier. This hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and deeply relaxing—everything I needed. I left feeling rested, nourished, and full of gratitude. I would absolutely return.

We stayed one night. The hotel was fantastic. The staff where really lovely. My daughter who is 12 and autistic carries a teddy sometimes and there was a woman making nasty comments. The male staff member in the bar was really nice (unfortunately we didn't get his name). He made her feel happy by saying he was very glad that she brought teddy to visit and no teddy should ever be left in the room alone. She was over the moon and relaxed after that. Little things like this mean a lot. That staff member just got it. He didn't say anything to the woman but still managed to make our daughter feel happy. Thank you so much to him. We stayed Saturday the 12/4/25. We will be going back. Thank you majestic.

Had a lovely stay at this lovely hotel this weekend, the staff at the reception desk were absolutely lovely and so helpful as were all the staff in the bar and restaurant and the breakfast staff...the food is 10/10 for dinner and breakfast and the hotel was spotless and perfectly located with lovely sea view rooms... we highly recommend a stay here... we've stayed here 2 or 3 times and will definitely be back.... a perfect example of how hotels should be.... keep up the great work and thanks a million for Grace's little birthday surprise dessert from the staff, it made her day and her stay all the more brilliant for her.

Got married here a few weeks ago and although I am local to the area I stayed from the Friday until the Monday. Treated like absolute royalty. Laura was made for the role of wedding coordinator, she made us feel like we were the only couple she was looking after the last year while I know was run off her feet as general manager also. Can't speak highly enough, she was so attentive to every single detail, even on the day making sure everything was perfect. Such a beautiful hotel and the food was next level. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the hotel and the food. We will be sure to have all our future occasions at the Majestic.

Stayed here with my family just after Christmas and had a great time. Rooms were lovely, views are amazing and super service throughout our stay. We had breakfast at the buffet and it was delicious. So close to the beach, couldn’t recommend enough!

My husband & I and our children had a fabulous time in the Majestic hotel. The service was superb. The General Manager Laura was just fantastic & gave us a wonderful welcome. The breakfast and evening meal was outstanding. We will definitely return.

This is my second time staying at the Majestic and I couldn’t recommend it enough. The rooms were fabulous with stunning views of the sea. The buffet breakfast had a fantastic selection. The dinner and service were brilliant (would definitely recommend the beef!)

Stayed in December off 2024 Hotel clean staff was lovely but the bar menu was disappointing some off the dishes on the menu wasn't available not just one day but both days we stayed but we didn't say anything as their was Christmas parties on it was busy but today the 1st off January 2025 we were staying in waterford decided to go too Tramore for the day had a long walk and we decided to go into the Majestic Hotel for some light bits and drinks a lot off tables we full off used plates and cups and glasses even the tables we sat at took 20 minutes for the person to clean the table after been asked. Didn't take our order for about an half hour been there we ordered the pub grub basket after three quarters off a hour waiting we still got no food so we decided to leave just paid for drinks when my husband made a complaint to the manager who took our order he just said did you not get your Food yet !!!staff walking by tables and our table with spray and cloth didn't even bother to wipe our table it was the worst I have seen in a long time if staff doesn't want to be there on new year's day just say it as it spoils it for costumes
