"Clean but dated hotel"

Stayed here over a long weekend. The hotel was clean but a bit outdated in the room. The lobby area and breakfast area are very small so when larger groups of people show up it can be hard to move around. There is plenty of parking around the building and I never had any issue finding a spot to park in even during a busy holiday. The location is just a few minute drive from Downtown Portsmouth but it is not within walking distance.

The room was comfortable/cool. Housekeeping refreshed my room every day. Staff were friendly. No one bothered me.

Loved the low tech heating/cooling system with on/off switch, choices for fan, etc.

"The dirtiest place to stay"

Nothing the place was disgust ing I'll never stay there again

There was something all over one of the beds that looked like blood the cleaner had to of seen it ... And the ac was terrible it was 90 outside and 70in the room.. They offered me another room but I was so grossed out I wanted to leave I asked for a refund and they refused took my number said a manager would call me they never did... I will never be back non will I ever stay at a howard Johnsons again
