The Palace of the Lost City at Sun City Resort

An amazing complex and fabulous hotel. Service was 1st class and everyone so friendly. Can’t say the same for the Lost City golf club.

Lovely place in an amazing location. Rooms a little tired looking but very clean with regular checks. ideal holiday for families and adults only.

Its billed as a luxury hotel but its just a family water park with so many fast food franchises its hard to count

Nothing special for the price per night. Did not get my bottle of wine as stated on my booking.

Breakfast experienceS were horrendous!!! Food was good but the breakfast service was terrible. From the moment we arrived it felt as if we were cattle being led to the feed lot. We were led away to a separate "dining room" on our first morning. I asked if the buffet was the same as the main dining hall / cafeteria and was told it was exactly the same only to find out the next morning that the menu we had on the first morning was significantly reduced. At least we had service at the first venue which can not be said for the service in the main cafeteria. We were led to the Grill Room which is an annex of the main dining hall. After receiving no service, I again waited to be seated in the main dining hall so that I could at least ask a waitron for glasses for fruit juice. Glasses and plates were in short supply and we had to wait a long time for either of these. Egg station only had one chef which added to the frustration of the guests (yes, I was not the only one that was pissed). Breakfast on the first morning took us 20 minutes and on the second morning, one hour and 10 minutes. I won't be staying at the Palace again.

IO liked everything . The hotel is in very good chepe, conservation note 1000.

Lovely hotel with excellent rooms and top staff, both efficient and very friendly. Two top class restaurants which are superb value. The only downside is the ducks round the pool area, whilst I realise it is Africa their droppings are a hygiene concern

The service was horrendous. The waiter in the hotel bar was extremely rude as was the bartender, they tossed the drink coasters at us on the table and made us wait half an hour before offering any service. There was no fitted sheet on the bed and the sheet that was on the bed was too small to where when we pulled the bed cover open you could see the mattress. This was at midnight. When we called room service to come bring proper sheets we were met with an attitude buy the two staff members that came with the new sheets. The bathroom floor was so slippery that every time we walked into the bathroom we would slip and almost fall. The shower was weak and lacked pressure The porters and drivers etc were very helpful and nice. The reception was nice and so was the concierge. I’ve stayed there years ago and the drop in the standards is very very clear. We flew all the way fromLas Vegas to enjoy the Palace hotel at Sun City but were very disappointed.

Had a lovely experience but too short of a stay.

I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME AT THE IT WAS MY FIRST AND NOT MY LAST. ALL OF THE STAFF WERE WONDERFUL AND VERY HELPFUL .I WOULD LIKE TO THANK "DAVID" HE IS ONE OF THE DRIVERS WHO WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE SURE WE GOT AROUND TO OUR EXCURSIONS SAFELY AND BACK TO THE PALACE ….OUR GPS THAT WE GOT FROM THE AIRPORT WAS NOT WORKING. THE 8 DAYS WE STAYED WILL FOREVER BE REMEMBERED. IJUST LEFT THE PALACE SEPT 7 2019 AND IM ALREADY BOOKED TO RETURNED NEXT YEAR WITH MY GRANDDAUGHTEER. A BIG THANKS TO ALL OF THE STAFF AT THE PALACE YOU ALL DO A WONDERFULJOB OF TAKING CARE OF YOUR GUEST .
