The Summit Inn

Not only are WE old and tired but this inn is also old and tired. From the blocked door at the entrance to the sloppy tables in the lobby with leftovers from former customers to the stained chair in the room, it was barely tolerable. However…. The ac worked well and the bed was comfortable.

Highly recommended! Spacious and clean room, friendly staff – they let me check in at 2 PM, even though the official check-in is from 4 PM. Great location close to the PCT trail and an excellent hiker box. The price includes a hot tub and sauna, which is perfect after a long day on the trail.

Price: As a PCT hiker, I had to pay the same price for the room as two people, which felt unnecessarily expensive. Bathroom amenities: There was no hand soap in the bathroom, which should be a basic standard even for simple accommodation.

The property was run down, and the rooms had holes in furniture and looked like they were stuck in the 80, not updated, and dirty.

Good value, great for hikers.

Misled by offered amenities, my husband had to drive 20 miles back to get things that should have been offered. I found bugs crawling out of the towels.

Nice quiet place to get away from July 4 fireworks with our dog. Stunning location, of course.
