Breakfast was a waste of time. Even with Covid, something more than sweet rolls and stale bagels should be offered.

The city of Boone has a mask mandate, and the hotel states this on the front door, yet many staff members were not wearing masks, and guests without masks were not asked to wear one. Yet at the same time, we were told our room couldn’t be cleaned during our stay because of pandemic safety concerns. This is ironic, considering the staff wasn’t even doing the bare minimum, like masking, when it comes to pandemic safety. As a result we felt very unsafe due to their complete disregard for Boone’s and the hotel’s own safety policies. As a side note, one cleaning staff member who was not masked was wearing a highly inappropriate racist shirt while at work. Much of the staff at this place needs an overhaul.

Great staff from check-in to check-out. Best place we have stayed in Boone the few times we visited our child at Appalachian State. Breakfast was nice assortment. Will stay again.
