Clean, fairly comfortable, fab showers.

Booked a twin room for my 17 year old who they classed as a child and 20 year old sons who they just knew was an adult they were given basically a double bed that was 2 singles directly next to each other zero space between the beds so no privacy and uncomfortable sleeping without annoying one another. Pretty disappointed it states online military discounts are available and then when enquired was told they don't do them, both sons are military and were travelling for business. Over all nothing to write home about but nothing too bad other than sleeping arrangements,. Won't be using again, had this been a young child and an adult this could of been very inappropriate.

It was very clean, bedding, towels and bathroom were immaculate.

The bed was rock hard and uncomfortable. The location is on an industrial estate so you can’t walk anywhere within a few minutes, the town is over 40 minutes walk.

Facilities were excellent.

Although we breakfasted early at 7.30 the food was only warm rather than hot.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times, but this visit was extremely disappointing. Despite booking well in advance, I received a call just 20 minutes before check‑in telling me my room was no longer available due to maintenance. As a solo female traveller who had already travelled three hours, this was both stressful and unsettling. When I arrived at reception to try to resolve the situation, Hannah and the manager were sympathetic, but sympathy alone didn’t solve the problem. I still had to push for a workable solution while standing at the desk trying, and failing, to find another hotel myself. Cancelling someone’s room minutes before arrival is unacceptable, and the call should have come with a ready, suitable alternative that took my plans and safety into account. Suggesting a hotel 20 minutes away, which would have cost me more and disrupted my work and evening commitments, was not an appropriate option. I was also told that because I had chosen the “pay on arrival” option, I was deprioritised in favour of guests who had paid online, even if they booked after me. If this is how the hotel operates, then this option should not be offered. Customers should not be penalised for choosing a perfectly valid booking method. No compensation was offered unless I invoiced the hotel myself, which is not a great solution for a problem entirely caused by the hotel. I’ve heard of self‑service, but this was ridiculous. Although the team eventually rearranged things to accommodate me, it took over an hour, caused me to miss work, and created unnecessary stress. Given how many solo female business travellers stay here, including many from my company, this experience has seriously damaged my trust. I will be feeding this back internally, as the lack of contingency planning and the way the situation was handled were simply not good enough.
