Nice grounds and location. Food good but expensive. Staff were excellent.

Very disappointed with our room which had a window looking at a bank of ferns which made it very dark. We complained and we were moved to a room with a better outlook. Couldn’t use the pool as already booked at the time we wanted to swim. Also didn’t realise quite how large the hotel was. Walk from car park to reception quite steep. If we had realised we would have driven up to entrance and unloaded there.

We arrived by cycle and Abi in reception could not have been more helpful in finding a place to store the bikes safely. Super staff, excellent breakfast. Alexander's bar food offered the best veggie burger I have had for many years.
