The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace

We recently traveled to Udaipur, and stayed at The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace, Udaipur as a group of 21 people, and overall had a really good experience. The view of Fateh Sagar Lake is breathtaking and the property has a subtle yet warm old-world charm. A very special mention to Rohan, who went above and beyond to take care of us. Managing such a big group isn’t easy, but he ensured every request - big/ small - was handled with warmth and efficiency. The food was good, and the staff across the hotel was helpful and polite. Though the property is slightly old, the hospitality and overall vibe & view truly made our stay memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Udaipur!

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace, Udaipur. The service was excellent, and the staff were very courteous and attentive throughout my visit. A special mention to Nikhil and Rohan, who went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and memorable. Their warm hospitality and professionalism truly stood out. We recently stayed at The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace, and our experience was truly memorable. The entire staff was incredibly pleasant and welcoming. When they learned that it was my son’s birthday, they surprised us with a beautiful cake and a thoughtful celebration. It was heartfelt, overwhelming in the best way, and made the day unforgettable The ambience, hospitality, and overall service at the resort were exceptional. We felt cared for in every moment, and our stay became an experience we’ll cherish for a long time. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Udaipur.

Service from Rita and RF was specially great, but all employees are professionel. We loved the stay Rooms was fine and there is a nice old atmosphere.

The hotel was excellent — my stay was very comfortable. The sunset view was beautiful, and the service was great. The room was clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff was also very helpful in fulfilling all requests, especially Rohan and Paras from housekeeping.

We stayed for 2 nights at Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace Hotel in Udaipur and it was fabulous. Below is a comprehensive review of our stay: The Good: Property: The hotel sits above Fateh Sagar Lake and is a converted colonial building. It offers amazing views of the lakes and the mountains including the Nehru Garden and Monsoon fort. We ordered a room with the lake view and we had a nice and unobstructed view from there. Access: Secure but easy access from the city with some inclines to walk to get to the hotel (if you're walking). The tourist spots are 10-20mins from hotel even with high traffic. Staff: Great and very courteous, we felt welcome at every stage and they were helpful with local recommendations for visits and booking dinners. They also arranged an early breakfast for us at 6.45am on the day of our departure. Breakfast: Nice breakfast with a selection of local and European varieties at Padmini. We loved having the chai with the clay cups. Room: Due to the age of the building, the rooms are dated as we expected. But they had all amenities we required and was comfortable. Could be better: Shower: The shower was low volume type so was taking longer for us to have a shower. A wider shower head with high output would have been better. Pillows: I usually request firm pillows and was offered those but the firmness wasn't sufficient. Ordered another one on the 2nd day which was slightly better but still not enough. Overall a great stay at this hotel, highly recommended!

While the breakfast at The Lalit was as good as expected, what truly stood out was the person assisting us — Kuldeep. He was not only professional and courteous but also witty, with a lively sense of humor that kept the mood light and engaging. Lovely staff, and an equally lovely place!

It was a nice trip, the place is so calm and peaceful giving resort type feeling. The view the staff everything is amazing. The breakfast buffet is amazing, we had to travel early on our departure day the staff KULDEEP, SHAHBAZ & GANESH were very helpful. They helped us to pack up the food quickly kudos to them.
