Óbal Hotel Marbella

I stayed with 2 friends for a weekend at Obal Hotel and we were so impressed! Beautiful rooms, spotlessly clean and lovely staff!. The rooftop bar was fabulous! The location couldn't better, literally beside the beach and the lovely little shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend it.

Excellent service, really friendly staff, especially Romina at the Front Desk. Very helpful booking Airport Transfers, with regular text messages to confirm information. Complimentary room upgrade too upon check in!

Stayed for 5 nights. Hotel has been recently renovated so everything is fresh and new looking. Didnt have breakfast or dinner so can not comment but rest of the customer service is great. One thing that I was not happy with was staff in Sky bar/rooftop bar. Hotel still deserves 5 star. On one occassion, I walked in with friends (locals) to get coffees in the afternoon and all three of us were finishing our ice cream. One of the waitresses was very rude when we asked for drinks, thrn another one came with a sign that said no drinks or food from outside. Fair enough but communication could have been different - and we didnt turn up with roasts we had ice creams very odd. Another occassion it was early evening, not closing time (still an hour to go) but when we ordered cocktails the waitress said she vould only give is beer, vine etc as it was too late. We looked a bit confused then she said ok we can make it. Again, something lacking in the customer service here

Excellent location. All major attractions are no more than 5 min walk. We travelled with our two year old. Hotel staff were accommodating to all our needs and made our stay easy.

Parking is off site and takes around 10 min of walking to it. There is space for two cars at the front to off load your luggage but we found police and other cars parked there which means you may have to park on one of the side streets and bring luggage back on foot.

Beautifully renovated hotel right in the centre. The ocean is a stones throw away. Excellent location for the old town and beachfront. Rooms spacious and immaculately clean. We had the twin bedroom which stated large single beds, which they were, lovely and comfortable and beautiful comfy pillows. Added bonus of English TV ( great while you get ready ) We were room only but the breakfast did look very appealing. The drinks in the hotel were very reasonable and generous. A large glass of wine was €5. The rooftop pool was adequate for dipping in when the temperatures are hot. Only downside was the limited number of sun beds. The roof top pool opened at 11am which then caused a queue and a dash to get a sun bed. 10am would be a better time to save having to hang around until 11am. We had a warm and friendly welcome on arrival and found all the staff happy to assist. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this hotel.
