Hotel Alex Johnson Rapid City, Curio Collection by Hilton

I’ve stayed here five times now, and every visit has been consistently great—always a clean, comfortable room. The customer service is honestly even better. On this trip, there was a mix-up with our reservation (not the hotel’s fault at all), but Rachel at the front desk and the manager, Mitch, went out of their way to fix it and make sure we were taken care of. They were incredibly helpful and easy to work with. That kind of service is exactly why we keep coming back again and again

The classic ambiance of the hotel, its rich history as well! All the interesting and unique small shops and businesses surrounding the hotel.

Loved this historic hotel in Rapid City! Like all historic properties, the rooms are a little smaller but our room was fine was fine and very comfortable!

Just returned from having the Easter Sunday brunch this morning. This event has been advertised locally and the menu sounded promising. WRONG!! Paid $48.66 a head for continental breakfast food you'd get free at any Days Inn,etc. Opened the first serving tray to discover powdered scrambled eggs, microwave sausage, and the lousy pastries you'd get out of a wrapper. I skipped all the other pathetic offerings and went to the carving station where they were serving some cut of beef trying to pass it off as prime rib. In their defense the flavor was adequate, but was borderline raw. If Hilton is indeed managing this place shame on them. The 1 star rating is for the hotels ambience and the wait staff which was very good.
