Motel 6-Metropolis, IL

Staff was friendly and location was great no issues there.

It was a nonsmoking room but the bed covers had several burn holes, the floors were dirty, the AC unit the front was in the floor and fell off when we tried to put it back, there was no safety lock on the door we had to put a chair in front of it to go to bed.

There were holes in the walls, and the entire room has an odor of mildew and smoke

upon arriving to Motel 6, we felt very uncomfortable due to the fact the customers or residents of this place we're sitting outside on the ground smoking marijuana. The smell was uninviting, as we entered the hotel room, it was a strong smell of dampness placing my asthma into flare. We we're very disappointed with this place to stay, so we made the decision go to another hotel to feel safe and comfortable. We are requesting a refund for a misleading place to stay.

Previous room users food left in microwave. Floor not swept and mopped.
