Villa Motel at Manitou Springs

Comfortable, great location, amazing staff

It was a very nice, comfortable room and we loved the pool despite the road noise. My sister relocated from Chicago wanted to experience the west. We loved this town of Manitou and I told her it is the wild west, which is what I have done for many years with ranches and rough life and bronc riding out here in Wyo> and here. . I live in Cotopaxi,CO , a very remote area. I would recommend this motel definitely. Deal with Rey-he mans the front desk and he is a cool guy. We got to check in earlier than the time and he made it so nice for us. Out here, people are friendly and they do try to make everything work. This is what I love here-that people are so friendly. I will say that people from CA are not fondly looked upon.You need to do a disclaimer.

The LOUD traffic by the pool on that main road was AWFUL. Never ending. But OK-that is where most of the motels are located. But I would go here again.

The location was wonderful for walking to the shops. We could also park before in the lot before our room was ready. The big jetted tub was nice.

Price was a little high, but I know it's tourist season. The non slip stuff on the tub in the bathroom is old and was very dark in color. So the tub looked dirty.

Staff called me in advance to inform their close time at 9 PM. Check-in was smoothly fast. Parking places are ample and free. Price is affordable compared with nearby hotels. Room is spacious with necessary devices and furniture.

Breakfast is simple without hot food, just cakes and fruits. Rooms are besides the major road of town, so traffic noises may be heard. Front desk is not open 24 hours. A 150-dollar deposit was charged 4 days before check-in without notification.
