Property Notes

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Please inform BreakFree Peninsula in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. A damage deposit of AUD 200 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 14 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Please note, there is a 1.4% credit card surcharge when using a credit card. Please note that this property has a strict 'No Party Policy' and noise restrictions apply. Only registered guests are permitted on the property after 22:00. Failure to comply with property policies may result in the eviction of guests and the loss of any deposits or payments made. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. The legal guardian must provide a current photo ID or proof of guardianship if requested upon check-in. Please note that this property does not have any policies, procedures or resources in place to accommodate the unique needs of school graduates during the annual 'Schoolies Week' period. Please note that accommodation is serviced once a week. As part of our ongoing commitment to improve and maintain our facilities, BreakFree Peninsula is undertaking maintenance works to the grounds, leisure facilities and carpark. Primary works have commenced. Although parking is still available, the car park is affected by support structures in both car parks which has changed the direction the vehicles drive. During this time, there will be no access to the outdoor pools and BBQ area as works are underway, however please note, you will have access during this time to our indoor pool. Secondary works will commence mid August. During this time, there will be no access to the indoor pool, gym, sauna and indoor amenities, however please note, you will have access during this time to the outdoor pool and new BBQ areas. This property does not accept group bookings (2 rooms or more). Any group reservations will be reviewed by the property and may be subject to cancellation without notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Maintenance Notice: Please be advised that concrete repair work on balconies will take place from October 16, 2024, to February 13, 2025. During this period, there will be considerable noise. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

"Need some deep clean with tlc. Good location"

My family got beaten by bedbugs on all beds and toilet water in both bathrooms were dripping all day long. Need a bit of deep clean and tlc. Location and view were great though.

I hated it from the first moment I arrived. We came to a construction site. They are building a pool. We were not advised that there wont be. Pool. Took us 1 hour to figure out how to get the key because reception was gone before 3pm. Reception left a number to call but the number was disconnected. Walking into the appartment was like a horror story.. terrible smell like bug spry which made us all sick that day. Mould eveywhere, bed sheets dirty, dishwasher flooded and noone there to call for help. Windows in the whole appartment you cant look out at because of the dirt. Worst experience ever. Will never go there again.

I stayed at the Peninsula hotel three times before, the apartments are outdated and old but you get what you pay for and I usually stay there when I'm sticking to a budget. Although cleaning the glass windows once in a while goes a long way. However I don't like to compromise on customer service and their check in staff consistently disappoints. I arrived at the hotel at 2pm and apparently reception was closed even though Expedia listed the operating hours till 6pm. It took me about 10 minutes to realise what to do because I haven't received any instructions from the hotel. I spoke to hotel staff on the phone and eventually they gave me the safe code where the key is located. In the true fashion of the Peninsula hotel they rushed the interaction as fast as they can to end the call. I spoke to reception next morning to advise that a set of instructions beforehand would've gone a long way, person agreed with me and was apologetic. Usually I would leave it at that, but given my previous interactions with staff in past stays I decided to press with the review regardless. I would rate it as the worst accor operated hotel in Australia in terms of customer service.

The property was alright overall. However there was no one in the reception most of the time and the amenities given were very less. There is was no servicing of the apartment and it was not communicated to us that there were ongoing renovations at the time of our stay. The lifts of the building very also very shaky and overall felt very unsafe.

The view from the balcony was amazing, lifts well maintained, staff helpful, nice location, close to shops and light rail trams, rooms clean but a little tired. Indoor pool good, outdoor pools under renovation.

Outdoor pools were closed for renos which was not communicated prior to our arrival. The new manager was very helpful and refunded 2 nights accomm as a result. Place not bad overall, poor comms beforehand though.

I must say the location is fantastic, but that is where it ends.. It all started at the underground parking where we could barely enter as we had the rooftop box on our car - height of the door is only 1.9m! The rooms were huge but dated and dirty, no air con either. Kitchen was wiped over and clearly dirty from previous guests. Hotel stinks on every floor.. And the pool that you see in the pictures has been drained and is getting demolished. Disappointing.
