Hotel Marine Plaza

Location was very good, even if you could not see too much of it due to smog. Lovely staff. We had a miserable problem with a hotel driver pick up from the airport arranged through the hotel. The hotel was very apologetic & accommodating regarding the fee for the pick up & arranged every detail on our return trip to the airport.

Very call bedroom & bathroom, but the room was comfortable & met our needs.

We visited Mumbai and were looking for a good hotel but not something that was of a big chain. As I feel you don’t get a personalised service. This hotel is very clean with nice big bedrooms, breakfast was included and it was nice with a great range of choices. From the point in from checking in I can only praise the staff. They knew it was our wedding anniversary and gave us a great welcome, kindly upgraded our room, had a cake cutting arranged for us and an evening meal thrown in. Fathers on the front desk was amazing and friendly, generally all the staff were helpful and gave a personalised service. You were made to feel they were there for us, the rooms were beautiful big and very clean. Daily complimentary drinking water was replenished and the rooms cleaned every day. The bathrooms had a great shower, the hotel in on Marine Drive and I would highly recommend coming out and sitting on the coastal wall to watch the sunset. It’s a beautiful experience that is enjoyed by thousands of people everyday lining the coastal wall for miles. There is a very nice bar within the hotel almost a nostalgic spot. The hotel has full access and facilities for those less abled.

We booked the hotel because it offered a rooftop bar and swimming pool for New Year’s Eve. We enquired a month before arrival about New Year’s entertainment and was told that they offer various alternatives. When arrived we were told the rooftop was closed due to a private function with the only other alternative was a pricy bar.
