Hyatt Place Charlotte Airport/Lake Pointe

Location to the BGLib where we visited. The bed was ok. I liked the large countertop over the refrigerator to have tea. While I guess it was to put our toiletries, we used it for food.

There was no counterspace in the bath, no place to put toiletries. The hairdryer was in the drawer outside the bath. The stopper in the sink did not work. I wear contacts, a safety feature needed to keep contacts from washing down the drain. Breakfast was ok. The pancakes were dry and hard on the warming pan.

I had a terrible experience with the other Hyatt place hotel in late August and vowed never to return. I tried this one against my gut and did so using full AA points. So nothing to pay. They charged my card anyway and a month later have still not refunded me. In fact they are making it difficult and asking for an invoice - but never received one as I booked fully through AA. I shall NEVER return. Useless. Oh and they had no hot water either for a needed shower after traveling transatlantic.

Average Hyatt Place. The breakfast could use some improvements that wouldn't cost that much. They also charge for parking here ($10/day) for lodging before fly-outs, even the night you stay at the hotel (which adds $20), which seems a little ridiculous given this is not downtown nor in a nice neighborhood. There's no security cameras on the parking area.

Great experience. Highly recommend. Clean, professional, accommodating staff. Location is near restaurants and other businesses.
