Select Inn Breckenridge

The beds were horrible and uncomfortable. The sheets were clean but you felt like you were sleeping on springs. Worst night of sleep. Bathroom looked like it had mold. Rooms looked unclean. You could smell the bleach on bedsheets. Chain on the door was coming out of the wall. I paid over $80 for 1 night. Never again. Bad experience. I will never stay at this select inn in Breckenridge, mn again. It was disgusting. In the way early morning, some guy was in his pick up trick obnoxiously revving up the trucks motor, right outside our window. Do better. Not impressed. This is why hotels are losing business.

The Select Inn Breckenridge is a property in need of modernizing and updating. Our room was age-worn with ancient mattress, comforter, and curtains so old and worn there were tears/gaps where the light just came through. the security chain on the door had only one screw that was partially tightened. The ridge had a rusty hinge and the chair was worn and quite old. The towels were in need of replacement; I would relegate similar ones to oil checking rags at my place. Breakfast was minimal at best and more family-style than we are accustomed to, e.g. the orange juice and milk service were open gallon containers in a little fridge that was "help yourself" serving. We would not go back.

The check in process was quick and easy. The room was smaller but clean. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were small and flat and uncomfortable. It was the right price for a quick overnight stay. The breakfast was not out at 6:05 am.

Room was comfortable

Needed a receipt for my stay but when I was checking out at 4:00 AM for a 9 hour drive home the person I got on the phone (sign at front desk said to call) said she would call me to make sure she had my email. She took my room number. I never got the call or the receipt. The sign asking folks to call was up most of the time during my 2 days at the location.

Property itself could use an update. The breakfast was sufficient. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Check in/out was easy. Had a good stay.

It was good ! But on a hot day of 91 degrees the Air Conditioner didn’t work! We had to get a fan for survival . We are supposed to get 50% off the room.
