Rundown property being used for long-term stays, outer door not secured, lousy parking, no service, shower not working, pull the 🚩 from this one

The property was not clean and both my wife and I had a feeling it was not safe in that area but nothing happened. Was just glad to get out of there.

The property was fine and it met our needs. We went down for breakfast around 7-7:30 and there was no coffee, which was disappointing.

They had rooms that I could book. That's all

Got 2 1st floor king rooms. They call me a few hours before we arrived to tell us one room was on the 2nd floor. But we could have a 2 bed room for $10.00 more. What choice did we have but to take the more expensive room. I have family in the hotel business and I know we should not have to pay the difference. The carpet was sticky. There was no hair dryer in the room and when asked they brought me a wall unit that didn't work. The 2nd on had a screw sticking out the back. Breakfast was from 6-9am only. At 8:30am when I went to eat there was nothing left but waffles and boiled eggs, milk and juice. I would not advise staying here.

The property manager did start to offer breakfast after i asked why they were advertising a continental breakfast and pool if neither were available. Their service was good.

The bathroom is held together by tape. Not worth the over $100 I paid for a room.

The Orbitz website showed free breakfast, but there was none. Not even morning coffee in the lobby and no coffee maker in the room.

Hotel was fairly clean. Price seemed reasonable, but that was until we discovered the pool was closed. I read a customer review from about 8 months ago where the reviewer lamented that the pool was closed then too. Not sure if the pool has reopened since then or not, but if not then they should remove the pool from their list of amenities and photos of the pool from their profile until it is open. Feels like a bait & switch otherwise.

No smoke alarm in room. No cot for our extra person. They slept in a chair. Very old it needs updating badly.
