Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Caseyville

Is not a hotel. Is apartment complex. Could not even find the check-in counter if they have one. Beyond disgusting with trash outside etc not sure why Expedia would allow this to be able to be booked as a hotel

Everything is spectacular but need to repair the hot water and the ice.

There was black mold in the tub, the TV was literally non functional, the room was not at all as described and they required you to pay through a square reader on his cell phone since " the system was down" I asked someone outside and was told this is always the case

Dead and live roaches running in the bathroom,

There were roaches, bathroom sink pipes aren’t even connected you turn the sink on and the entire floor will flood, I had to clean the entire room with my own cleaning supplies since they left everyone’s hair and piss on the toilet and in the shower I do not recommend at all.

The place needs to be condemned stay away from this place it was absolutely horrific there was no heat cockroaches in the room mouse droppings on the floor the hallways were absolutely filthy dirty disgusting I wouldn't recommend this to anyone this place should be shut down by the health department

Re: Days Inn in Caseyville IL (at 2423 Old Country Inn Dr.), I rented a room there on 1/20/25 in the morning around 11 am. After I did so, I went to the room and it was filthy and slum. There was a large mirror above the sink that had a large crack in it and the mirror was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. I immediately went to the front desk and asked the clerk to come to the room and I showed him the mirror and asked if he would have it cleaned and he said he would but he never did. There was no smoke detector in the room but only a wire hanging down from the ceiling where it had been removed. I showed this to the front desk clerk after I checked in but he was indifferent to it, and I suspect many rooms probably don't have smoke detectors and are also slum. There was black mold around the sink and bathtub. The mirror above the sink had duct tape holding it to the wall and there was duct tape around ceiling tiles, even around the exhaust fan in the bathroom. There was duct tape hanging down from the ceiling where the stickiness wore off. The bathroom door had a hole in it, & there were 2 holes in the wall behind (and above) the toilet with silver duct tape over it. I saw a hair on the toilet seat and saw a roach run across the floor. The bedspread had small holes in them. There were two pieces of curtains that didn't match and one piece was 2 inches shorter than the other piece. It overall was slum and I immediately I expressed dissatisfaction with the room. I didn't ask for a refund since I didn't know I could get one. I didn't stay in the room & didn't bring my things in but rather I checked out the same day I checked in (on 1/20/25) around 7 pm & went to another motel. When I tried to complain to the manager by phone the next day, the front counter person who answered the phone wouldn't let me to speak with him. So I complained to Wyndham's customer care on 1/21/25 & although I was given a case # (08817706), this went no where and someone from "reservations" emailed me later and incorrectly and dishonestly said I expressed satisfaction with my room as soon as I saw it, although I DID NOT! They lied and refused to refund my money. I suspect this email may have been the manager at this Days Inn, although I’m not sure. It's obvious that Days Inn nor Wyndham cares what customers think & will not make things right.

The whole room was dirty, the toilet had feces and urine on it, the tub had grime and hair in it, there is blood on the walls in the bedroom, there was dirt all over the floor,and black mold on the ceilings in the bathroom, unfinished drywall and plaster on the walls ,refrigerator was gross ,microwave had not been cleaned out, drawers had dirt in them, roaches crawling on the nightstand. No soap, shampoo, conditioner, and only one towel. When I asked in the morning if I could get another towel I clean one I was told that I would have to wait for housekeeping to come in even though the laundry room was directly behind where the man was sitting they told me I would have to wait. And they charged me $50 for incidentals up front in case I did anything to the room there's nothing I can think of I could possibly do to this room to make it any worse let alone for them to charge me for it. They also questioned whether or not my service animal was a service animal made me show them proof of certification or they were they were going to charge me extra for having a pet. and as it is I spent $76 on this room for one night.
