City Hotel am CCS

We love staying here! I am travelling with 3 small children. The hotel was extremely accommodating and able to upgrade is to a suite. So everyone had a good night sleep after the flight and car journey! Situated in the City Centre there is easy access to the shops, Public transport and the pool next door!

Saubere, recht große Zimmer. Schnell an der Autobahn. Schade dass das Parken für Hotelgäste nicht frei ist . Kurtaxe kommt auch noch drauf.

angenehme Atmosphäre im Hotel, sehr freundliche MitarbeiterInnen an der Rezeption.

Good basic hotel for the price charged, only problem was we had not hot water for the first night and morning as they had a problem with the boiler! Very few staff about in the morning and hotel is very quite, Beds are a bit small I am 6.3 and my feet stick out the bottom of the quilt!! Car parking and great access so over all a good hotel

Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen... Der Teppich hatte Flecken, die wohl nicht mehr rausgehen... Unser Bett war an der Seite dreckig - als wäre was ausgelaufen... Und im Bad bahnen sich Stockflecken den Weg. Aber alles frisch bezogen. Das Frühstück war ausreichend aber für den Preis haben wir vielleicht auch etwas frischen Quark, Fleisch- oder Heringssalat, vllt auch Lachs öder ähnliches erwartet. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend- auch war klasse, dass sich das Hotel an die Ansprüche der Gäste mit den Frühstückszeiten angepasst hat. Der Ausblick ist vom Restaurant sehr schön. Das Hotel liegt zwischen Bahnhof und Stadtmitte- beides fußläufig zu erreichen. Check in und Check out waren problemlos. Fragen wurden immer schnell und zuverlässig beantwortet.

Would not book this hotel again: worn and dirty rug, arm chairs and curtains. Mold in the bathroom. Not comfy and certainly not 4*worthy..

Trotz Buchung Ende Januar mit der Bitte um ebenerdige Dusche und neue/harte Matratzen wurde diesem Wunsch nicht nachgekommen (Dusche in Badewanne, alte, verschmutzte, durchgelegene Matratze). Wir hatten ein Delux-Zimmer gebucht: das suche ich heute noch: Einrichtung kaputt, alt, Stühle/Sessel durchgesessen, im Bad (ohne Fenster) schlechte Belüftung, Schimmel, lose Fliesen. Frühstück: Angebot für 4 Sterne ungenügend. Schmutzige Tischläufer wurden nicht ausgetauscht, fleckige Tischdecken von anfang an.

Top Lage mit super Aussicht vom Restaurant, Bedienung sehr nett,

We stayed at the Arcadia Hotel in Suhl as part of a shooting team during the ISSF Junior World Cup. Part of the service offered to us was breakfast and dinner daily. Our rooms were clean and ready on arrival although we only checked in at about six pm. The staff was friendly and eager to assist where possible. Dinner and breakfast was part of our package but after six days the repetitive breakfast was a bit much. Dinner was ok considering there were many other teams with the same packages. The hotel is located very centrally and most activities are within walking distance. Everything is closed on a Sunday which makes it a bit difficult.. I prefer a harder beds and the one at Arcadia was very soft. It is also a pity that you cannot control the room air conditioning and the window could not fully open.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, with very nice views. The restaurant on the 16th floor has a particularly nice view of the whole valley, where Suhl is situated. On several occasions I witnessed genuine kindness and helpfulness from the staff. The hotel is adjacent to a large public swimming pool - it's worth checking out if you want to experience some facets of the German social cohesion (by which I mean, how people behave and remain civil in a crowded pool and how they like to spend time together doing water fitness exercises)
