Red Roof Inn Conroe North - Willis

Room was dirty and bugs everywhere. Socks left on floor

This is a (-1 star) hotel. I’ve already sent an email to the corporate office. We wouldn’t be staying here if the room wasn’t non-refundable. We don’t have throw away income. The desk clerk is pleasant. The rooms aren’t being cleaned. The first room was dirty so the clerk gave us another room. It’s dirty too. We’re so ready to get in a room so we stayed. I wiped it down with my own wet wipes. I asked for more towels and clean sheets to change the bed because there were food crumbs in the sheets. Hair in the tub. Toilet not clean. Toothpaste spit on the mirror, faucet and in the sink. The a/c is cold though.

This was the most disgusting motel room. Stains on the bedding, some looked fresh, filthy bathroom, damaged lamp shade, safety lock broken, and the way to really tell the room has not seem maid service was the leftover food in the fridge. That was the final straw. We didn't even stay the night and checked out before midnight. After reading more reviews about the filth, it amazes me how little management seems to care or they would have fixed this issue. I have traveled most of my life for work and for pleasure. Red Roof has always been one I could trust but this one has forever changed my opinion.

I saw the rating of the hotel and was a little cautious after staying in a hotel just up the road with a similar rating. The comparison between the hotels were not even close. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel and will stay here again.

This place was terribly dirty. the floors the bathroom, the bedding, it was gross.

YALL!!!!! Do NOT STAY HERE! This was by far the WORST place/hotel/motel we have EVER stepped foot in. We could and would not even step foot in the bathroom. Couldn't take a shower. No telling when the last time the room had been cleaned. My son put a shirt over his pillow case to lay his head on. Slept on top of the bed because everything was so nasty. If we wouldn't have arrived so late, we would have left and attempted to find another place to sleep. We thought about sleeping in our truck, but wasn't sure about the security of that. We have to go back in a couple of weeks, and are frantically trying to find another place to stay. We will sleep in the back of our vehicle before stepping foot in this place ever again. I've NEVER written a bad review, but PLEASE take our word for it, it was THAT bad. The toilet looked as if it had feces/urine in it for weeks, then maybe flushed once. If guys/men won't even step foot in a bathroom, imagine having to sit on the toilet and/or bathe in the shower/tub. DO NOT IGNORE THIS REVIEW! It's not worth it.

Room was disgusting, I left and got a different hotel. I filed a complaint, and they have done nothing about it. I'm going to tell everyone in Willis Texas to avoid the red roof inn because it is that bad.

Dirty dirty floor. Fridge ruined my food Scratchy stained towels. Old lumpy mattress dogs barking doors slamming Old rusty fixtures and lamps

My wife and I booked this hotel with a free night stay under a Red Roof Inn national promotion. You have to call a special Red Roof Inn reservation number, give them the pass number, the expiration date and location and date of stay. You provide a credit card number that is applied only if you are a no show or show up and do not produce the pass. The reservationist calls the hotel to be sure the pass is accepted, The pass has instructions to the hotel about submitting the pass to Red Roof Inn accounting for payment. We've used these passes about a dozen times over the years and never had any problem. The afternoon clerk said to the reservationist that the pass would be honored and he would make notes on the reservation. A week later we showed up for our stay at around 10:30 p.m. We were on a run to pickup one of our racing thoroughbreds the next day. We like Red Roof Inns and I'm sure this one would have been fine. It was a little curious that at 10:30 pm the lobby was shut for the night and a night window was equipped with a buzzer. The night manager came to the window and asked for my ID and credit card. I presented my pass and he said they do not accept them. I explained the reservation process that we went through and that his day manager had told the Red Roof Inn reservationist the pass was acceptable and would be honored. It was clear that the night manager had never seen this type of pass and treated me like I was trying to pull some type of scam on him. He disappeared for about 20 minutes trying to get information on the pass, which has very clear instructions AND states it is redeemable at any Red Roof Inn or Red Roof Inn Plus. He eventually came back and told me that I needed to just pay for the room and he would figure out how the pass worked later and if he wanted to accept it. That was a big departure from what I had agreed to in making the reservation. I was able to cancel the reservation and we stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Conroe. However, it was infuriating that the manager did not know what the pass was and how it worked. There were not any notes on the reservation apparently. What was clear is that my wife and I were put in a very bad situation by this night manager and I wasted about a half hour listening to the clerk question my character and talking in circles. We still love the Red Roof Inn hotels and this experience didn't change that. However, we will steer clear of this hotel and want to warn others that may be using points or a promotion to be very careful if they choose to book here. Our review is of the night manager who gets a big F- for his incompetence and his obnoxious demeanor.
