"Rough stay. Won't be back."

Positives: The front desk staff member was ready for our small group with multiple keys ready when we arrived. Service was quick and friendly. Beds were comfortable and water pressure in the shower was great. Breakfast was very good--fresh and tasty. Negatives: The hotel is in a rough area. We were concerned about our vehicle outside. The humidity in the room was almost unbearable and the carpet felt damp. The musty smell--as a result of the humidity--was terrible and the air freshener they tried to use as a cover-up just made it worse. Sortof wonder if the room had been smoked in, too. The tub/shower had a 3" strip of caulk that was hanging off the wall/tub, rust in the tub around the drain, and the drain plug wouldn't stay up for a shower so we had to lay it on the side of the tub. Water smelled bad (may be a Charleston thing). There was also a missing tile around the baseboard. If you're looking for a cheap room regardless of reviews or quality, stay here. If you have higher expectations for a Marriott property, look elsewhere. I'm surprised Marriott keeps this property in their collection. It's rough and we won't ever stay here again.

"Great Value for the Price"

Close to everything.

Sketchy hotel next door with lots of homeless, druggies and prostitutes. Did not feel safe outside of the hotel, including the pool area.

"Family vacation 2025"

We enjoyed our family vacation in Charleston SC. My Grandchildren enjoyed every minute of the stay. Breakfast was very nice and everyone found something they enjoyed eating.

My room in this Fairfield Inn had rotting wall from shower issues & falling tile. The area felt VERY questionable for safety. Shame on Marriott!!! So sorry I didn’t take photos. The building seemed like it had been an old cut-rate motel that had been window-dressed to be presented as a Marriott facility. NOT RECOMMENDED!
