Location is great. Way off the beaten path

There was a noise, like an extremely loud fan-type noise, that went on all night. All. Night. Long.

Toilet didn’t work

The hotel and room pictures online were not a reflection of how the hotel actually was. The hotel smelled of weed as soon as you walked in. The floors, carpet, walls and elevator were visibly dirty. The room I stayed in had a couch that had multiple rips on it and as soon as I walked in, I could tell that things had not been wiped clean. The desk, tables and remote had fingerprints all over and even sticky sections (clearly had not been wiped down). The floor had dust balls in the corners and one of the curtains had stains. The sheets seemed clean, as well as the kitchen. But at that point, I couldn't trust or felt comfortable that they were. I ended up going to the store and buying disinfecting wipes and sprays to clean myself. Additionally, The TV was flimsy and old and would randomly turn off and reset. I also had a fridge (room 301) that did not work. The lights inside it worked when you opened it, so I assumed it did and went and bought food and the next day it had spoiled because it was not working. I told the front desk people but they didn't seem to care and offered up a quick shoulder shrug and "I'm sorry"- $45 dollars down the drain. I feel deceived about what I was sold online and the actual experience I had. While it was a cheaper option compared to other hotels, it was still like $150 a night and this is not the type of experience that should be offered at this price point. I have stayed at these hotels before, and never had this experience, so it may just be a location issue, but regardless, I will not risk having this type of experience again.
