Radisson Hotel Kathmandu

My stay at Radisson Hotel Kathmandu was below expectations mainly due to cleanliness issues. The washroom and toilet were not properly cleaned, which made the stay uncomfortable. Basic hygiene and maintenance need much more attention. The staff was polite, but the housekeeping standards definitely need improvement. With better cleaning and regular checks, the overall experience could be much better.

Breakfast options, friendly staff, walking distance to attractions but you have to cross some busy streets, located on quiet side street off major road, several restaurants, grocery store and other services close by

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in this luxury hotel while in Kathmandu. It was located down a quiet street from one of the main roads. The hotel was beginning some renovations during our stay so they had closed a couple of the bars and restaurants at the hotel. However, there were many types of restaurants within easy walking distance. A number of ATMs and a grocery store were also less than a block away from the hotel. Our room was spacious, had good lighting , electrical outlets, a refrigerator and a very nice shower (with a hand spray and overhead rain shower heads and great hot water) but the bed was a bit hard. We ate breakfast each morning in the 3rd floor restaurant which had a great selection of both traditional and Nepali items on the buffet that rotated each day. Eggs made to order could also be ordered from the kitchen.

The room I stayed in was clean and quiet. It was fairly close to the airport and actual location of the hotel was away from the main streets. I had asked to change rooms as there was a funny smell in the first one I went into and they changed it immediately and were very helpful during that process.

Under curfew and unexpected situation the hotel took extremely good care of our safety. Staff was very flexible and helpful in all situations!

Soundproof of rooms was quite poor. Better to have earplugs for night
