Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Statesville

Easy to access from the highway, was a very good deal for a last minute booking

Some mold in the bathroom, elevator button was broken, and some lights were constantly flashing throughout the hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our tub faucet leaked all night and the rooms smelled musty.

I received a text at 8:04 a.m., Monday 11/24/2025, stating the following: We hope you enjoyed your stay at Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Statesville. Complete your online checkout now and let us know what time you'll be leaving: https://wyndhamconnect.wyndhamhotels.com/link/pQpsfT It offered a late check out of 1:00 p.m. for a $20 fee, I accepted & went back to sleep, then about 11:00 a.m. a knock on the door awoke me hearing them say housekeeping, I stated I had asked for a late check out of 1:00 p.m. & would be out by that time, to which she kept saying they didn't have late check outs, she went as far as to try to get in my room, luckily, the slide bar kept her from walking in on me so I walked over to the door to speak to her & I tried to explain about the late check out I put in for to which she just kept over talking me, at that point I told her, okay, I will get showered, get dressed and be out as quick as I can. That was at about 11:15 a.m. & every 5 minutes, they were pecking on the door so I there was no way of getting out of there in 15 to 20 minutes, but I was out before noon and I told the gal that come up there, she was from the front desk that I wanted to speak to the manager and she turned around with a smart attitude, and very rude. Well, he's downstairs in his office and I said, that's fine, I want to speak to him. So we get downstairs and she says something to him in a foreign language so I couldn't understand them of course, and he come out there very standoffish, very rude and argued with me about the 1 PM late checkout offer, I tried to explain it to him, he wouldn't listen or anything else he just told me that their check outs were 11 and at 1130, he could have called the cops on me and I told him well go for it.

It was cheap and clean, we just needed a place to sleep for the night nothing fancy

The walls are paper thin and whoever was above us woke up at 5 am and were stomping like a heard of elephants so we were up at 5 am also. Staff just tolerates u but are not overly friendly.

It was a reasonable price. And the breakfast was ok

The bathroom had one tiny sink, no countertop. The carpet was stained and dirty in the whole hotel.
