Lux Hotel

Booked hotel while traveling from Florida. When I got there I check out the room. The room was terrible and its smell made me sick. I went to the hotel manager and immediately asked for a refund. He immediately agreed to grant me one. The next morning I woke up at another hotel and checked my card. Sure enough they charged me. My bad for trusting them. Be forewarned. This place is a rat hole and their staff cannot be trusted.

The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful and the front desk and lobby was very clean and well decorated and nice. After that things did not look as nice. The room was clean but it needs a good fresh coat of paint. The bed was comfortable. The bed linens and bathroom had to be pretty clean because you could smell the bleach used. We couldn’t get the tv to work but we were just there to sleep for a few hours during our travel. The shower was good and hot but the tub doesn’t drain well at all so by the end I was ankle deep in water. The wall needed to be repaired from moving the shower rod. We smoke detector was missing off the wall. If you are looking for a clean room you got it. It just needs to be freshened up with new paint and newer furniture.

On a road trip and very tired of driving, I found this hotel on hotels.com site. Reasonable priced and I know why now! We needed a handicap accessible room which they had. If only I had looked at it first! The room and bed were comfortable enough. The shower was pitiful! We had to bend down to turn on the valve. The shower wand was waist high and we could not adjust it to aim higher. The wall clip that held it was so worn that the shower head would flip downward. Railroad tracks ran behind the hotel along with a street crossing so every train at during the night and in the earlier morning had to blast the horn several times. Breakfast was very nominal. We ate at Hardee’s across the highway.

One night because we were tired .The only good thing here is that the sheets were clean . would have left if it wasn't for that. The "continental breakfast was not worth grabbing anything but coffee . The clerk had nothing to say . I mean that even when i talked to him he said absolutely nothing

We stayed at the baymont last night. It was absolutely run down. The ceiling was falling off, plugs not working, air conditioning unit sputtering at best - throwing out dust and crud the entire time. No side table on one side, one of the lamps was not working, and worst of all - no added security on the door. The security bolt was broken off. I also would like to add that there were some outlets hanging out of the wall - Very unsafe for anyone with children. I asked the front desk for a partial refund. He told me he couldn’t do anything and that it wasn’t his fault?!? I showed him the pictures and everything. The lady checking out behind us told me, “Ours was the exact same, we WILL NEVER stay at a baymont hotel again. Our ceiling was leaking into the shower.” This is terrible service and an absolute dump of a hotel. Please - do your family a favor and don’t put them through sleeping at this place.

Very old, run down hotel. Our room was so musty smelling that i had a headache and felt sick. The air conditioning in the lobby and breakfast area was out. Two lamps were burnt out . Furniture full of scratches and a love seat that neither of us would sit on . Open ceiling tiles in hallway exposing wires .

The lobby is great but the rooms have a lot to be desired.Also the breakfast had alot to be desired. No measuring cup for waffle maker, no fruit, no yougart, no jelly or peanut butter. Choices were oatmeal, cold cereal or a waffle. No juice.

Ok trip just no tv and the waffle maker was slowly cooking and burned waffles because the buzzer didn’t go off and they burned. It wasn’t any cups in the lobby area for the waffle mix and no cups for the syrup or milk

The room was filthy, the roof leaked ice machine didn't work,no snacks in the vending machines. Watch out for the hole 2 foot deep in the parking lot. Looked like a third world country hotel. Spend your money somewhere else.

Bathroom was filthy with mold. No ice or vending on second floor. No elevator. Poor choices at breakfast bar with bad waffle batter. Overall cleanliness of hotel was questionable due to the uncleanliness of our room.
