Abendessen im eigenen Restaurant war sehr lecker, gratis Parkmöglichkeiten direkt hinter dem Hotel (gratis)

Gestank im Zimmer und Flur (keine Möglichkeit zum Lüften, Fenster ging nur einen Spalt auf) - Fäkaliengeruch, Zimmerausstattung sehr alt, Lampen teils defekt, sehr dreckig (überall Spinnweben), Duschvorhang, kein Aufzug

We decided for a road trip through Denmark from Göteborg for our first week of summer vacations. we took the summer offer from Danske Hoteller chain, drive and stay, which gave access to "discounted" price for at least 3 nights in a row including dinner and breakfast. First stop on our road trip, Hjallerup Kro. We felt welcomed, the room was on the back of the building, worth noticing there was no air conditioning, and we were lucky with hot summer weather. We found a trick to have the window wide open to give us a bit of fresher nigh air. The room was renovated, as well as the furniture. The bathroom showed its age. The bedding was comfortable, even if too soft for me. The starter + main dinner was simple and good. It feels a bit steep to pay for the tap water 40 dkr, but this seems to be a constant in every restaurant in Denmark. The breakfast was good, thought simple in diversity of the food. This was expected level for a small village/road hotel. It was plenty enough to meet different breakfast style. Special motion for the warm lever pate with bacon and fresh bread, yummy!! The personnel was courteous and professional.
