Residence Inn Fort Worth Alliance Airport

Friendly team, property a bit older but clean, shower/tub and bedspreads. Breakfast was adequate but not spectacular. Easy access from the interstate and convenient to to the speedway. Spa was not operational and pretty dirty.

I gave the staff a 5 star because they were very polite. I’m so not satisfied with the stay because of the additional stress and tardiness that it caused. I had a two day expense paid stay and was informed on the second day that someone had canceled my reservations. I didn’t! I traveled almost 700 miles I knew I needed a place to stay. I was still showing reserved and paid in full on Expedia side, but the hotel wouldn’t let me check in until the reservation was canceled even after Expedia said I was good on their end. I spent my entire weekend on the phone with Expedia when I reserved and paid a month in advance. I had to pay a higher rate because it was the weekend. Very disappointed.

Toilet wouldn’t quit running ac smelled very musty/moldy

1 star for great staff and location. Do not stay here. We arrived to find a missing tv remote, a trashcan that props the bathroom door open and only 50% of the electric outlets work, bring an extension cord if you have more than 4 plugins. Went to the pool at 5 pm, only 4 lounge chairs were not broken, the remaining 12 had ripped meshing and were piled up on the side of the pool area. About 30 minutes later the fire alarm sounded and a guest told us this happens every week or so. Fire department came about an hour later to turn it off. That night we noticed the AC has a loud grinding, not humming sound all night. I asked the very nice staff if all the rooms had this loud AC noise, she said yes. The shower is an exploding water event, use towels if you don’t want your floor to flood. We paid for a balcony room but all that was available was on the roof with no view. Next day I tried to use the hair dryer, didn’t work. I went to the desk and got a working one. Workout center had temperature set at 85, it was 110 outside that day. Couldn’t adjust the air in the room. This hotel for 3 nights $560 was a total nightmare.

I loved the watermelon game night. We had a really good time and we got to meet some really nice people.

I didn't like that there was so much construction in the area, but nothing other than that.

Very clean and nice hotel. The young lady at the front desk was super polite and wonderful. Down sides were the room was hot. Took half the night to cool it down. Half the tv channels (all the ones i wanred to watch) didn't come in. Just a black blank screen. On the plus side the room was very spacious and really made it fell like home (minus being 76 with the AC on 60). Breakfast was great, good variety of things. If in the area again I'll stay there again.

My first time staying at Residence Inn and room was ridiculously small. Carpet looked very outdated. Tub had old markings in it. Air conditioning unit was the old style and blew air into the room but the air had an odor. Will not be staying at another Residence Inn anytime soon

Full kitchen. AC stopped cooling. Could not find an ice machine, bit the staff was kind enough to get is ice from the kitchen.

Disappointed

I chose this hotel when I became too tired to finish driving to my destination. It was supposed to be a quick stay—get some sleep, eat breakfast, continue my journey home. I had just stayed another week at another Residence Inn in another state so I choose this hotel based on that experience. Instead of a quick stay I had a bed bug nightmare. When I woke up and turned on the lights I saw three bed bugs crawling in my bed. I also realized that the sheets had several small dark (laundered) blood stains under the pillows. I wish I’d examined the bed more carefully when I checked in, as this was clear evidence that the hotel had had a prior infestation. My friend who was traveling with me and I were scared we’d take bed bugs home with us, so we spent several hours in the hotel laundry, washing all the clothes we brought into the hotel and wiping down and packing our other belongings into double sets of ziplock bags so we could heat treat them before taking them inside our homes. The staff was sympathetic and the manager comped our room, so I guess they did all they could. But I sincerely wish I’d kept driving or gone somewhere else. At first I thought I’d only been bitten a couple of times. However, I have since learned it can take 24 hours for bed bug bites to appear. A day later I am covered with dozens of intensely itchy bites that are making me miserable and my belongings are “cooking” in my car in the hot Texas sun as I fervently hope no bed bugs or eggs survive to infest my home. If the bed bug incident had not occurred the hotel would have otherwise been pretty nice. The breakfast was good. And the people who work there are kind. But that’s a little like the old joke, “Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?” When something as upsetting as getting chewed up while you sleep happens, it is a terrible experience that overshadows everything else.
