Days Inn by Wyndham Shallotte

Old mattress which are not comfortable to sleep and making lot of noise if we just sit on it or move a little, found few roaches in the room and water is leaking from AC.

Staff was rude and unhelpful. Cleaning staff pounded on our door at 9:15am with the "do not disturb" signage up. Demanded we leave... Checkout wasn't until 11am.. (considering how poorly the room was cleaned when we arrived... I'm not sure why they were in such a hurry...) When I approached the front desk with my concerns I got a shrug and "They do that sometimes... We'll have another talk with them." The breakfast was gross and the drink machine didn't work. I don't expect Michelin star food... But at least something not stale. Overall not very happy with the stay. The back door was broken and left unlocked... It wasn't worth what we paid to stay.

Reserved a king. When checking in was told they had oversold and only had a room with two beds. We objected and began looking for the number for the Best Western and voila - the problem was magically fixed. I wonder who ended up getting their room switched and getting the two beds. They had my email and phone number and could have easily contacted me before I showed up. I certainly did not feel like I was a valued customer. The mattress was very soft and sunk into the middle. There were some type of metal bars on one side that my wife had to cover with a towel to keep from scraping her leg. Breakfast was the basic powdered eggs and carb fest so we opted to decline and head to town for something much better. Disappointed and would never stay again.

Accessible

While we were there we found 1 dead roach and saw 2 live ones in the room. One was in the bathtub and was about 2 inches long. There was also a dirty bath towel behind the bathroom door upon our arrival.

The shower water was just luke water.

No elevator. Very dirty. Bathroom didn’t even have towels. Breakfast was limited and attendant was grumpy. Made note not to stay here again as we come to this area annually.

Nouthing

We stayed for two weeks in one of the rooms on the first floor at first it wasn’t that bad except the bathroom was still dirty from the last person but after a few days some black mold started to form on the ceiling but before that we found a cockroach on the floor I asked to have it sprayed no one ever came but anyway they moved us to the second floor which was much nicer for the rest of our stay the staff was very nice though manger was sadly useless
