"long weekend in Evian"

Centrally placed and yet very quiet, we could sleep very well although our room was on the main street, rue Nationale (and had a great view over the church tower and the lake). Liked the non-standard organization, with access from both the street (ground floor) and the car park (3rd floor, where the reception is). 5 minutes walk from the Cachat sources. Staff is very friendly, and breakfast (we paid for it after checkin) excellent, with very fresh bread, yoghurt, cheese, etc. Warm shower. There is a private free carpark, albeit tricky to reach (you need to enter a public underground parking, then exit through a secret foxhole in the back in order to reach the hotel parking). It's free, albeit you need the public parking ticket to enter and exit. GoogleMaps however knows "parking hotel the France" and will take you to the entrance of the underground parking, then follow the signs (and preferably avoid rubbing your car against the walls).

The car park is a real plus in the very crowded Evian - however, it may soon get very narrow when the hotel is full...

Il n'y avait pas de place dans le parc de l'hôtel. J'ai dû payer 16,40 euros pour avoir laissé la voiture pendant 11 heures.

Posizione strategica, proprio sulla via centrale, vicinissimo a ristoranti, negozi e quanto possa occorrere; camera tripla molto spaziosa, luminosa, funzionale e arredata con gusto; eccellente pulizia della camera e degli spazi comuni; parcheggio privato a disposizione degli ospiti (non sufficiente per tutti, ma approfittando del turn over, si riesce a trovare posto) cortesia del personale alla reception e del proprietario. Un soggiorno perfetto. Consigliatissimo
