Travelodge by Wyndham Fort Lauderdale

I booked a room with a king-size bed. We were given a room with two very small beds in it. Very uncomfortable. I was lied to by the front desk manager and told that it was a glitch in the hotels.com system. I was told by the hotels.com associate that they were told that there were no king size bed rooms available and they gave us a room with two beds instead. This is impossible as everything was done electronically. Hotels.com made everything right the Travelodge only made excuses

our tubs faucet and shower head were broken. the tub had cracks and chips. the room had a funky smell to it. the blankets are old holy and tattered. need replacing. the sheets had cigarette burns in them and stains. the room had a fridge and microwave. we mainly need a place to shower to head to our next destination. we booked in online. it was the cheapest in the area.

Room was dirty and furnitures are old and peeling. Even no cup for mouth washing. Breakfast is poorly prepared and provided little choices. I rated it as less than one star with the price $150 per night.

The hotel looks pretty old. It needs work. It was fine for an emergency stay not somewhere I would spend a week at.

Air conditioner was hard to work. Room was very warm when we arrived late in the evening and it took a long time to cool off the room.

Checked in late from flight. Front desk was friendly. Checked us in and we got to the room. The room sheets had blood stains on them. The comforter had cigarette burn holes. The bathroom has stains all over the tub and walls. Cracks on floor. Just overall awful.

My trip was for a funeral of a death in my family. My stay with my kids was ok. Not too bad.

Found a roach in bathroom. Old facility. No updates. Tried to use hairdryer and didn't work. Continental breakfast frozen bagel and muffin.

I stayed here for 1 night before a cruise was a good location between Wilton Manor and Las Olas blvd. Needs updating: cigarette burns on sheets, drapes falling off walls, outlets broken, moldy shower curtains. The place was clean and had tv with cable and A/C, room was good size but the visible deterioration made it look cheap. Staff was friendly. No elevator working to 3rd floor and we had big luggage. Needs improvement to enhace the quality.

This motel does not meet expectations for a Travel Lodge. It is very worn and not maintained. The elevator was not working and had not worked for some time. The desk clerk said that there was no budget to fix it. Cigarette burn in blanket, frayed cushion on chair, totally inadequate offerings for breakfast.
