Wow. I've never actually put that much thought into whether the smell of sick can triumph over the smell of raw sewage. However, thanks to a night spent in the Hotel Stars, I now have the answer! I also never knew that a foul smell could keep you awake. But I know now! I would have gone to sleep in my car in the car park but it was freezing and as a lone female, possibly not the best idea. So I stuck it out, with the window wide open. This at least succeeded in nearly masking the smell of the sick, but the raw sewage came from the blocked pipes in the en suite, right next to the bed. It made for a sleepless, smelly and freezing night's stay. I was so glad when it was over. I arrived after reception closed, so there was no-one to ask for a change of room. Other points of interest include cigarette burn holes in the bedding (fortunately I was able to bring my own from the car) and stains (including a large feature presumably sick stain) on both the walls and the carpets, along with peeling, scraped paint on the doors. Oh, and the wifi didn't work, even in the lobby. Plus points: was quiet the night I was there, my car didn't get broken into and I survived! I'm not sure why I booked this hotel, I won't make the same mistake again! This would have been bad hotel accommodation in a Third World country, in modern day France it was shocking. If looking for cheap accommodation, a youth hostel is much nicer.

L'hôtel est assez pratique car situé dans une zone commerciale, près de la route des grands crus... En revanche, l'état laisse à désirer : impressionnante odeur d'égouts dès l'entrée, portes (dont serrures) délabrées, chauffage TRES insuffisant en hiver (j'ai eu froid malgré la couverture supplémentaire mise à disposition), isolation phonique insuffisante (bruit de la route toute proche)... Ce n'est pas cher mais ça ne vaut vraiment pas plus !

This hotel is suited for stop overs when travelling really. It is mega cheap and that shows in the room standard.. but when you are paying £30 a night.. what do you expect! There are a few fast food and restaurants nearby which is handy. The room is small and dated, but done the job for a one night stopover for us! Free parking is handy too!

Un accueil chaleureux et professionnel Un oubli de pull le lendemain matin dans la chambre : une réactivité immédiate du service du matin, toujours très agréable et chaleureux vraiment très pro !

il s'est très bien passé et un plus à la dame de l'accueil qui a sû prendre directement la bonne décision car le bouchon du robinet du lavabo était cassé donc inutilisable et elle nous a directement redirigé vers une autre chambre! Petit déjeuner très bien servi et très correct avec un personnel très aimable nous y revenons dans 3 semaines!!!
