Super 8 by Wyndham Vicksburg

Very clean but very old

We liked that we could sleep with the window open. We could hear the wind and since there was a thunderstorm during the night we could hear the rain. Also from our room we could see fields and trees and that we liked a lot!

Clean, quiet. Super nice front desk lady. Nice room, great shower. STAIRS, no elevator, but the front desk lady had someone bring my things up--I'm handicapped so needed a hand. She was very gracious about it. Breakfast = coffee & pastries so I went to McDonalds.

Basic.

Okay for a couple of nights… Clean but No breakfast.

Convenient accommodations for travel.

When I went to check in they said my credit card had been declined and they couldn’t check me in. I looked on my bank app and the charge to hotels.com had gone through. Finally the girl gave me a room even though her system said not to. We got to the room and it was clean, but pretty bare bones. My husband took a shower and the tub filled up with water due to very slow draining. We went out for dinner and when we came back you could smell marijuana in the hallway. Next morning the free breakfast was non existent…. Not even coffee.

Everything was fine. Very convenient location to highway and to dining and to Military Museum. Front desk helpful.

I dont really have anything bad to say about this hotel. The staff was great. It would have been nice to have a desk and chair in the room for my laptop. Aside from that I didn't have any issues. The big plus for this hotel was the friendliness of the staff and the great parking. I stayed in the winter, so the hotel wasnt busy. It was quiet and easy to get to off of the interstate. I would recommend this hotel for someone looking for a place to say at this price point.

The website advertised breakfast but only served granola & coffee. Carpet was in need of a good deep cleaning. Actually, the whole hotel needs a good deep cleaning because there was a noticeable ordor. But the linen on the bed appear to be clean & fresh. There was a dead roach on the TV stand in the room. I didn't report it because I only saw the one.
