I book two rooms with 2 queen beds each room and I when I went in for check they gave one of room to someone else and facilities are really smelly like dog pee

It was an easy jaunt right from the highway, surrounded by a bunch of other hotels and restaurants. Decent amount of parking. Faye and Shellie at the front desk when I came in were GREAT.

There were three people in our room (noted from the beginning), when we got ready for bed that night we realized there was a single bath towel and two washcloths. In the middle of the night my mother woke up to go to the bathroom and there was a random leak from somewhere, so she used the towel and went back to bed, not wanting to wake anyone else. When I went down the next morning to request the proper amount of towels and tell them about the mysterious leak, the woman at the front desk seemed upset that I had used the towel and said "You should've called, we have towels down here specifically for that"... you have towels specifically for leaks?! How many leaks occur?? Weird. Then, when I asked for the towels that we should've had, she said I had to bring all the wet towels down first to prove they were wet... Ma'am, there was a SINGLE BATH TOWEL... it was very bizarre.

⭐ -5 Stars — I've Seen Condemned Buildings With Higher Standards I'm going to need a rating system that goes into the negatives, because one star implies there was at least something redeemable about this experience. There wasn't. We arrived at Extended Stay America Dayton North at 7:00 PM for a scheduled check-in. We were finally granted access to our room at 10:30 PM — three and a half hours later — with zero explanation, zero apology, and zero concern from staff. Foreshadowing at its finest. The key card machine was broken, so we had to flag down an employee every time we needed into our room like we were asking a favor. Annoying, yes — but then we discovered the door didn't lock anyway, so it was all kind of moot. When we reported it, the solution offered was essentially "you can leave if you want, but take everything with you, and don't all leave at once." So I did what any reasonable person would do in a hotel room with a broken lock — I dragged a recliner in front of the door and slept in it all night like a medieval castle guard. Truly a five-star experience. The room itself was an absolute biohazard. Dirt ground into every corner, cracks in the ceiling large enough to be structurally concerning, no towels, no toilet paper, and an AC unit that seemed to be running purely on spite. And the smoke detectors? Every single one was bagged in plastic. Every. Single. One. Apparently this is standard practice at Extended Stay America Dayton North because the entire property functions as an unsupervised smoke-in — cigarettes, weed, you name it. I genuinely considered calling the fire marshal and I still think that was the right instinct. Outside was its own catastrophe. The lobby entrance smelled like a kennel that had never once been cleaned — dog urine soaked into every surface, feces at the door. The parking lot was scattered with trash and broken glass, and appeared to double as a community auto repair shop, with people actively working on vehicles at all hours. Several cars had occupants who were clearly living in them and did not appear to be doing well. If you have a dog, don't bother looking for grass — what little exists has been completely claimed by mountainous piles of uncollected dog waste. Every inch. It looked like an archaeological dig of irresponsibility. This property is not a hotel. It is a liability. It is a fire hazard, a health code violation, and frankly a cry for help from whatever municipality is responsible for inspecting it. Do not stay here. Do not let anyone you care about stay here. Do not slow down while driving past it. We escaped with our belongings and our lives. Barely.
