Holiday Inn Kansas City - Downtown by IHG

Breakfast was really good, the beds were really comfortable and staff was pretty friendly.

Walls are so thin you could hear the tv from the room next door. Really unfortunate because it didn’t quiet down until past 1 am. It also wasn’t very clear beforehand that parking was $25 and i never agreed to pay for it with my credit card on hand. I saw the transaction after my trip but never agreed to the payment

Stayed here for meps and made new good friendw, worked out, ate good food, the staff was really nice and the rooms were well put together

Room was decent.

Front desk person who helped me check in wouldn’t speak up, kept talking in the quietest voice. Didn’t explain the $100 charge when I checked in very well. Room service isn’t explained well either. Assumed if I can call in food order and able to eat in my room the food would be brought to the door. Apparently not, was waiting almost 40 minutes and no one called. Had to go down to the front desk and find my food that was sitting in a plastic bag steaming. The bag was also very dirty, covered in some orange-ish stuff. Very unprofessional by kitchen staff. Burger was beyond dry and barely edible. Very overpriced for the quality. Also didn’t see a mention beforehand anywhere that parking was not free. Seems like a lot of hidden charges when booking room.

Room was not cleaned

Staff was great, nice and knowledgeable on things to do in the city. Food was great. Room was comfortable. The bed was comfy and the bathroom clean. Atmosphere was great for the time of season.

The location. It was beautiful inside. Clean. Friendliest staff!!

Price and paying for parking!

Hotel was nice and half of the staff were friendly while the other not so much. On a positive I was offered free breakfast one day as they were just getting ready to throw out the extras, so that was nice. On a negative I was told the bottomless mimosas they had displayed were not available. I had asked the day previously the times it was offered and they told me to come out between 7 and 10 tomorrow which I did and then I was told it wasn’t available. Very disappointing.
