IRWe had stayed at this hotel before and had a wonderful experience, which is why we decided to return. Unfortunately, this time was completely different. The room we received looked nothing like the one we had booked. Instead of trying to help, the manager, Jonas Debbabi, repeatedly told us that this was the only room available and that cancellation was not possible. We were so unhappy that we wanted to leave and find another hotel that same night, but with a small child and a late arrival, we felt trapped. In the end, we had no choice but to stay and pay around $900 for the first night alone, even though the room we received was not the room we had booked. Although we were eventually moved to a slightly better room, the manager’s dismissive attitude ruined the experience, and we chose not to stay for the second night. I am also disappointed with Booking.com for allowing hotels to advertise rooms that do not accurately reflect what guests actually receive.

ILAEAbsolutely loved everything about the hotel. Unbelievable lake and mountain views from the rooms. We were a family of 4, we had the room with the balcony. The room was spacious enough for all of us (2 kids 4 and 9 years old). Location is great, less than 10 mins from old town and the main train station. Super helpful and friendly staff. We got really lucky with the weather that week (2nd half of May) and the hotel had multiple water activities to offer. Wonderful stay, obviously still expensive but nothing compared to other options we were looking at in Lucerne (which are super expensive) and I honestly can’t even imagine what would they have offered more than what we got at Hermitage. So probably amazing value for money compared to other options there.
