Ocean Gate Resort

A perfect escape for folks looking for an easy drive to one of the closer spots in Downeast Maine. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast for sure. Tennis courts and basketball rims need some TLC

Great place

We liked the added amenities of the property with access to kayaks and canoes. It was in a nice location overlooking the water. The place could use a little TLC, it had a campground feel to it. The breakfast was good!

Location on the water is excellent. There are many activities available on the property and the breakfast was very good.

Loved the setting. Outside property was beautiful. Access to Kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards The room we had needed upgrading and initially smelled musty. Once we opened door for awhile the must smell subsided. Front desk staff member could have been more welcoming and when we left on Sunday I said just dropping off key. His response was Ok. Not Ok how was your stay or something to show an interest. Our room did not look anything like the picture on the website. Basic breakfast, loved the blueberry pancakes We would go back maybe try to get a room with a deck not just a balcony.

Beautiful location with beautiful views and so much to do! We paddleboarded and kayaked every day. Breakfast was excellent.

The beds are very comfortable, the view was lovely from our room, staff was friendly and helpful, no gluten-free options for breakfast. The pool was lovely and inviting, but there was no hot tub. Did you want that or you were just covering up?
