Beijing Landmark Hotel

Very disappointing place. Room is very small and filty dirty. Booked 5 nights originally and decided to move to another hotel after first night. Will never stay there.

Great location and hotel facilities, coffee shop restaurants, etc. very nearby but rooms are a bit dated and small. Not much for a desk in the rooms and very hard beds. But I would stay here again because the I'm not too picky when the price is right.

The superior rooms are very dated and smell. The swimming pool is so small it should be called a bath. They tried to charge me for rooms I had prepaid for on Expedia - and when I pointed this out they did not apologise, so if you do stay here check your bill carefully. Don't use the lobby lounge they charge you per person for a cup of tea, but only give you one tea bag between a party of people. So 4 people, one tea bag £20 charge.

Clean and functional, with good customer service. Be aware, as with most hotels in China, the beds are very hard. Two minutes walk to Starbucks for quality morning coffee. Easy access by taxi for many Embassy locations, though traffic can be heavy, especially around rush hours. Plenty of restaurant options close by.

Facility is maintained well. Room was large and comfortable (I booked a suite for less than the cost of a small room in the US or Europe). On site restaurants were fine, though I'm not a big fan of Beijing cuisine. Starbucks is 2 minutes walk. Location is convenient half way from airport to major tourist attractions. Some rooms don't have wifi but hotel will install wifi router on request. Wifi quality was fine but internet partly-censored as expected. Valet laundry quick and efficient. Staff friendly but other than front desk and restaurant staff no one speaks English. Expect queue at checkout 8-10am, and there may be a queue at taxi line as well. Airport about 30-60 minutes taxi ride depending on traffic. Costs about 80 RMB including toll gate. Tap water not potable. Two small drinking water bottles per day provided by hotel, the rest you'll need to buy.

The hotel was in a good spot but the rooms were very tired and old. I booked a non-smoking room and when I checked in confirmed that this was indeed the case. When I got to my room it was a smoking room and absolutely terrible. I then asked to be moved and was put into another room but it had 2 single beds. The room was old and the bathroom was falling apart. I wouldn't stay there again.

Very good except for the irregular or at times non existent WiFi.

Everything thing was ok besides the price for breakfast and wifi. No packages with breakfast and WiFi was provided and it was too expensive to pay for them separately.

Metered taxi from airport to hotel cost 80 yuan one way. Taxi to yashow market cost 15 yuan. Breakfast and dinner extensive menu and delicious. Free wifi only in common areas like lobby and dining areas.

In room wifi didnt work until I changed to the third room. Staff was "unaware" wifi was out for an entire floor and tried to get me to come down to the lobby every time I needed it. Rooms showing age. Smells of old cigarettes
