Econo Lodge Ames

We often stay in various EconoLodge facilities when we travel. The price is right and we usually have a clean, quiet room. This was a very good location for us.

We had to switch rooms because I am disabled and we need to be on first floor. We were delighted with a large room. But we noticed the floor was a bit sticky. We ignored that but the first night, we had a mouse in our room. We let the front desk know and asked for extra cleaning. The floor was still sticky. The morning of checkout, our toilet overflowed. We got a plunger and unclogged it, and got a mop and mop bucket. We're mindful of toilet clogs as our home is in a 1913 building with older plumbing. We do not clog toilets. This one had been flushing slowly. We'll give this place another chance but this was disappointing.

Good management. They strive to try making you happy .

Location convenient and right by the highway. Breakfast ok....no eggs of any kind though

Dirty room hair in tub drain clogged as well hair all over bathroom floor. Shoes stuck to floor dirt all over floor

Nothing good

The front desk worker was very rude and I didn't get my $100 back because my Girlfriend has a service Animal and he was very rude and wouldn't give me my money back because of the dog and there was no damage to the room

I wanted to bring to your attention a security concern I’ve recently noticed. Some of the entrance doors to the building have been left unlocked, which could pose a risk to the safety and security of residents.
