Abilene Inn & Suites

Not a lot of choices in Abilene Kansas. We liked the fact it had a pool. Dont like paying 178 buck a night.

The side entrance to the building supposedly requires the use of the room key to enter but the door doesn’t even lock. That makes me feel much less safe…about as safe as a drive-up motel without the barrier of a lobby. The pool room had the back door propped open and anybody could sneak in from outside. The coffee maker in the room was dusty and filthy inside; it was very unsanitary. There was no hand soap for the bathroom sink. The front desk attendant searched and found two small bars though she seemed annoyed with the request. She also didn’t seem to want to reprogram our card key that didn’t work. Even our 5 y.o. commented “She wasn’t very friendly.” She didn’t look up to greet people when they entered. Anybody off the street could be in this hotel. At least it is quiet; I think it may be because people know not to stay here. This room was extremely overpriced. For this rate we expected much more. Haven’t had breakfast yet so I can’t comment on that.

Overpriced for the amenities available. Desk Furniture is ratty. Walls are damaged. Appliances make a lot of noise.

Unusual only had decaf.coffee in the room and staff only supplied new towels between nights didn’t straighten the room. Not a big deal but the price is a premium for this area so expected a little more

First the good, breakfast was good for a hotel. Many different choices from bacon and eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, pasteries, fruit and drinks. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was very large, as clean as it could be for how old the property is and the shower had great water pressure Now the bad. This is an old hotel, they are building a new one across the street. Pets are allowed so the smell of dogs is in the hotel. Very thin walls. You hear everyone outside in the hallway. The bed was super stiff making it almost impossible to sleep. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. There used to be one but it was removed making it possible to see into the bathroom next door. Some signs of black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and a ton of rust around the door frame of the bathroom. Non working tv which isn't that big of a deal. Way overpriced for the area and was expecting so much more but i was very disappointed in the upkeep of the property. I would not stay here again. Drive a few more miles down the road.

The place was just average. Nothing memorable about it.

Can definitely tell why they're building new facility. Lots of upgrades needed by the new buyer of this place.

Older property that is soon going to replaced by new building being finished next door.

Things are falling apart and not being repaired, because they are planning to move across the street.. They were waiting 2YEARS ago when we were there!!!

Hotel was barely functioning. Although it was clean. It seems they are building a new one next door, it was clear that they were not caring about the current hotel. Just for reference, the fire detector was hanging from the ceiling, the bed was old and the mattress was anything but firm. I can say that the breakfast was the one saving grace as it did not have fake eggs. There are no restaurants located near and it was at least a 30 minute drive away. But very close to the highway.
