We arrived late at night to a quite unfriendly front desk lady. She was zero frills and niceties. I read in reviews prior that a front office lady was rude and asked how they wanted to pay as her "computer is slow." I reinforced that I have already prepaid and then she said after about 5 seconds..."oh ok." After reading the previous reviews I laughed thinking this is definitely a pattern. I would be nervous about this staff member if I was a manager of this lodge. Otherwise it suited our purposes just fine.
Everything was poor. The restaurant attached to the property was awful.
It was just basic, expensive for bed only No dinning room No computer points and no charge points
Clean and comfortable, basic but good value for money. Very pleasant staff both in hotel and in diner. Not much choice in diner but what they had was very good.
The beds were nice and comfy and the room smelled lovely on arrival. The woman at breakfast in the restaurant was lovely. The lady who welcomed us at checkin wasn't very welcoming at all. Not a single smile from her and she tried to charge my card even though I had already paid online 'because her computer was slow so she didn't see it'. Also the only option for snacks outside of the restaurant was a vending machine that was extremely over priced and didn't give change

Room was a you would expect from Travelodge. No problems just a bit expensive for a room only stay
The property was exactly as expected. No frills clean and had everything we needed. The location was excellent, we were there for a Munster game and the ground was just a 25 minute walk from the propriety. The reception staff we lovely. Very friendly and very helpful.
The shower didn’t work properly, it would be fine, then after 2 minutes completely turn off for 2 minutes and cycle through that a few times...but overall the place was very clean and the staff was friendly.
Where do I start with this one ? Firstly let's get out of the way that Ciara the receptionist was delightful. No bar on site .... ridiculous! No bathmat provided so getting out of the shower onto a slick floor takes ones life into ones hands each time.Shower pressure would be outdone by a mouse in need of a pee. Towels the size of facecloths, and so thin you could spit through them. Minimal tv channels..like 4 of them First visit to reception to ask about local cabs and there was a homeless guy there , asking me for drugs!! Apparently this hotel is basically a homeless hostel. Hardly a good image, corporate must be mad to allow this because it will drive other guests away in droves. Location: useless you need a car to stay here. Noisy busy road surrounds the place. 15 euro taxi to town, 25 late at night. Room 80 euro , no breakfast...... 40 quid in a b and b up the road and you get a much better standard. Manager Des: Don't even bother giving your generic response thanking me for the review and hoping to welcome me in the future! Unless I am homeless I would never stay in this excuse of a hotel again and intend to complain directly to corporate head office regarding the hotels policies.
