Holiday Inn Express Camden Hotel

Great stay. Just had noisy neighbors.

Not much to chose from in that town.

My reservation was ready at arrival. Helpful I finding a nice place to eat a great meal.

The hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast was nice too. I’d do it again and recommend to friends.

Went for a Family Reunion and discovered a beautiful city.

Not very clean. Bedding had an odor.

So I'm about to check out after staying for one night. Currently, having the standard breakfast which is fine. My ordeal started when I first checked in around 6 yesterday. The first room I was given was on the first floor and unfortunately, the smell of must and mold surrounded the room. I walked into the bathroom to begin checking for cleanliness only to find toilet paper on the seat and hair in the sink. I was done with that room. Ms. Cindy at the front desk was kind and attempted to upgrade me to a suite on the 2nd floor with hopes that it was clean. What I can say is that it definitely smelled better, but what I found was far worse than the first room. Hair was on the corner of the tub. Not just one hair, like a lot. Like someone was shedding. I know the struggles of having long hair, but geez clean up after yourselves people. Hair also in the sink and around the toilet. The other sink in the room had hair and spider webs. Is this a joke? At this point I'm tired. I take my boys to the pool and tell myself I have Lysol and bleach wipes so I'll take care of it when I get back. On our way there, I notify Ms. Cindy to her horror and disgust. I just have to laugh because I thought nothing could beat the dead roaches in the HIE in Bonifay, Florida. She asks if I want another room and offers me points and I'm like it's fine ( I haven't checked the beds). The pool was fine. My boys enjoyed it, but towels were about the size of a baby's receiving blanket, a little bigger than a hand towel. Upon returning to the room, I break out the Lysol and bleach wipes, but to my horror there's more hair!!! On the shower walls this time. Like wtf? I can only assume this shower was not cleaned at all. I cleaned everything, throwing the hair in the trash and get the shower started for my boys. The water doesn't drain properly. Obviously, it's the hair!! Just wow... I go downstairs to let Ms. Cindy know and I'm sure by this time she's like sick of me and thinking wtf as well. She apologizes and lets me know that Ms. Lori, the manager is there. So I proceed to tell Ms. Lori about the room and show her the pics I took. Earlier, I had also emailed one of the pics to an email address that Ms. Cindy had asked me to. Ms. Lori also apologizes profusely and offers to give me back 1/3 of the points I used for using my rewards night here. I'm so over it. I know it's not their fault, but housekeeping totally dropped the ball. She offers me another room and in my attempt to be kind and give things a chance, I decline. So I come back to the room, checking the beds now cause the boys are about to go to bed. Now I'm like omfg. My youngest son is now thinking we're in a horror movie. More hair under the covers and behind the pillows. Smdh. I call Ms. Cindy and she kindly finds me another room down the hall. The third and final room had clean beds. That's what I can say. Still hair in the tub and sink. I feel like hair is the theme here. The place is in dire need of a renovation as it still had popcorn ceilings and things are falling apart. Hair also in laundry room inside washer and dryer. People just need to clean after themselves and housekeeping needs to do better. Anyways, I'm ready to return home. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I had to tell this adventure.

We LOVE staying at this hotel. We come here for business ESA about every 2-3weeks and always stay here. They are so nice and friendly and the place is always clean and well maintained. Management is always friendly and helpful. Will not stay anywhere else on our trips to Camden.
